by Eleanor Clayton On December 11th, the BISFA Instrumental Department held the Piano and Guitar Recital. The concert started with a piano quartet playing “A Portrait of Old New Orleans” by Eugenie Rocherolle. It was a great piece which the pianists performed beautifully. They were followed by 19 guitar and piano soloists. by Eleanor Clayton As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a great time to reflect on what we’re thankful for. As a sophomore guitarist, something I’m extremely grateful for is my guitar ensemble. At the beginning of last year, I felt overwhelmed and was certain I’d be a terrible fit at BISFA. Not only did the guitarists offer the support and comfort I needed to feel confident, they taught me to think of my art not as a standard I have to meet, but as something to throw myself into.
