Gratitude for the BISFA Guitar Ensemble

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a great time to reflect on what we’re thankful for. As a sophomore guitarist, something I’m extremely grateful for is my guitar ensemble. At the beginning of last year, I felt overwhelmed and was certain I’d be a terrible fit at BISFA. Not only did the guitarists offer the support and comfort I needed to feel confident, they taught me to think of my art not as a standard I have to meet, but as something to throw myself into. Additionally, they’ve helped me master many pieces and have inspired my personal music.

I have learned so much from these talented musicians, not only about guitar, but about what it means to be a part of a team. Whenever we play together, there is a bond that is special to us. It’s truly a unique and meaningful experience to perform with them. Thank you, Bryce Caldwell, Jadon Foster, Leah Cartwright, Micah Williams, Ryan Franko, and Tyler Gorman. I love you guys so much! ❤
