On October 28th the instrumental department held their second annual Spooktacular Halloween concert. Everyone involved did a phenomenal job of making the event a truly fantastic way to celebrate the fall season.

Throughout the concert several different disciplines were showcased. These performances included the band, orchestra, guitars, electric ensemble, vocalists and intermissions from some creative writers. Throughout the acts there was a large variety of music. There were several references throughout to popular media including unique takes on classics like Jaws and Star Wars. Additionally, they performed Halloween hits such as “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath and “Somebody's Watching Me” by Rockwell.

After the phenomenal show, they held a costume contest.  During it we saw all types of costumes win elaborate themes including funniest, scariest, best made, and more. After the main festivities ended, there was a small trunk or treat in the Maryland theater lobby. This was the perfect way to wrap up the haunting evening, leaving sweet smiles on everyone’s faces.

Congratulations to the instrumental department and everyone else involved in this perfect show for the spooky season!
